BJP ‘golden man’ arrested for matka king’s murder in Pune

Pune : deccan expressPune Crime | The Shirval police have arrested a BJP office-bearer and ‘golden man’ in city-based matka king Sanjay Patole’s murder case. The arrested has been identified as Amol Bandopant Hulavale (36), a resident of Katraj. (Pune Crime)


Hulavale is known as a ‘golden man’ in Bharati Vidyapeeth area for his liking for gold ornaments. He wears such ornaments. Hulavale has been booked in criminal offences at the Faraskhana police station, Dattawadi police station and Hinjewadi police station. He was arrested by the Faraskhana police for carrying a pistol illegally. The Dattwadi police booked him for beating up a traffic constable.


He carries out social work through his Shankara Foundation. He is the regional vice-president of Akhil Bharatiya Maratha Mahasangh. He is also the working president (western Maharashtra) of BJP’s Mathadi Transport Ani Suraksha Rakshak General Kamgar Union.


Patole was killed in a financial deal. The Shirval police earlier arrested six people in this connection. The arrested were identified as Tarbez Mehmood Sutar, Kiran Baburao Salunkhe, Vicky Rajendra Jadhav, Shankar alias Tatya Ashruba Parve, Nitish alias Ritya Satish Palange and Rakesh Suresh Gaikwad. Later, the Shirval police arrested Hulavale as they came to know about his involvement in the crime.


Hulavale was preparing to contest the civic elections. Hence, he was organising functions in Katraj ahead of the polls.
