Pune :Deccan Express – Pune Crime |A man has been arrested by the Anti Extortion Cell Pune of the crime branch for making fake PAN cards and voters’ identity cards. The accused hails from Buldhana and he is involved in buying and selling real estate. The accused has been identified as Kalpesh Ramesh Bohra (42), a resident of Khamgaon, Buldhana district.
Madhukar Tupsaundar of AEC has lodged a complaint at the Bund Garden police station. The AEC cell took the action in the vicinity of Pune railway station.
Ten fake voters’ identity cards and a computer have been seized from the accused. In the computer, fake voters’ identity cards, PAN cards and some photographs have been found.
Kalpesh Bohra was a real estate agent. He was also providing fake voters’ identity cards and PAN cards to the people for money. The AEC cell came to know about Bohra’s activities. They arrested him after laying a trap. Initial investigation has revealed that Bohra was charging Rs 10,000 for providing fake voters’ identity cards and PAN cards.
PSI Jadhav is carrying out further investigation in the case.
