Pune | Deccan Express – Pune Crime | Pune Crime |A tragic incident of the death of a 12-year-old boy, who was trapped under the wheels of the school bus, has taken place in Wadgaon Khurd. The incident took place on Tuesday at 3 pm. A bus of Blossom Public school was taking a turn opposite the Murlidhar Laygude Hospital in the Rajyog Society. At that time, Arnav Amol Nikam came under the wheel of the bus. The seriously injured Arnav succumbed to his injuries. Other school children were frightened as they saw the accident from a short distance.
Schools have re-opened in Pune. A bus of the Blossom Public School had reached near the PMPML bus stop near Rajyog Society to drop students and Arnav and other students deboarded the bus. Later, while turning the bus, the driver did not pay attention and the back wheel of the bus went over Arnav killing him on the spot. Arnav’s family is in deep distress due to the tragedy.
The police reached the spot after they were informed and arrested bus driver Dattatraya Laxman Parekar (49), a resident of Dhankawadi. An FIR has been arrested against him. Arnav was taken to a nearby hospital but he was declared as brought dead. Senior PI of Sinhagad Road police station Shailesh Sankhe is guiding PI Pramod Waghmare and PSI Kishor Tanpure in conducting the investigation.
