Pune:  Deccan Express – pune crime | The Kothrud police booked 11 people for indulging in moneylending and extortion. A case has been filed against Sagar Kalyan Rajput, Jignesha Sagar Rajput, Prabhavati Kalyan Rajput, Rani Marne, Amit Kale, Bhudya and his five associates. A 53-year-old citizen had filed a complaint in this regard. (pune crime) The incident took place between 2018 and July 22, 2021.

The complaint stated that the accused extorted Rs 25 lakhs after lending Rs 5.50 lakh. The accused told the complainant that he owed Rs 85 lakh after adding interest to the principal amount. They forcefully took from the complainant a registered power of attorney of a land measuring 1,720 sq ft at Ambegaon Budruk. They also forced the complainant to sign a notarized agreement and an affidavit. A friend of the complainant was also forced to pay very high interest after lending Rs 7 lakh to him. High interest was extorted from them after threatening to kill them, abusing them and sending 7-8 goons to their houses, stated the complaint. The Kothrud police are investigating the matter.
