Pune : deccan express | MahaTET Exam Scam Case | Rs 33 lakh was seized from the residence and offices of Maharashtra State Council of Examination Commissioner Tukaram Supe. Earlier, Rs 25 lakh was recovered from Sudha Tukaram Supe’s house.
The Pune police have recovered Rs 3.15 crore till date in raids at Supe’s house and offices. Gold jewellery weighing 1.5 kg was also seized. The total seized cash and valuables amounted to Rs 3.90 crore.
Earlier raids
Earlier, the police had recovered cash and jewellery worth over Rs 2 crore from his son-in-law’s house in the second raid at Supe’s house. His wife had handed over these valuables to her brother after Supe’s arrest. In the first raid at his house, Rs 88 lakh cash, jewellery, bank deposits worth Rs 5.50 lakh, totally valued at Rs 96 were seized.
Police custody extended
The court extended police custody of Supe and another accused Savrikar till December 30. Judicial Magistrate First Class SG Dolare issued an order in this connection. Supe, Savrikar and six others have been in the MahaTET question paper leak scam.
