Burglary In Pune | Daylight theft worth Rs 12 lakh in Chandannagar-Kharadi & Fursungi area

Pune : Deccan Express | Burglary In Pune | An incident of daylight theft was reported from Chandannagar-Kharadi and Fursungi area. According to information, thieves have broken into flats of these two areas and stolen Rs 12 lakh.

A 52-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at the Chandannagar Police Station. A case has been registered against the unidentified thief. The plaintiffs live in the rakshak society at kharadi bypass. They had gone out and the house was locked. The thief taking the advantage broke into the house. He also broke the lock of the locker in the bedroom and stole Rs 3 lakh 59 thousand. The incident took place on July 19 between 12 noon and 3 pm. Thief also broke the lock of another flat in the same building and tried to steal. However, there was no cash or any important thing kept at home. That flat only had household items. So no theft was reported from here.

Another burglary took place in Fursungi, Hadapsar area (between July 14-17). A 42-year-old man has lodged a complaint in this regard. The plaintiff had locked the flat and went for his wife’s medical treatment in Karvenagar. He then returned home on the night of July 17th. When he entered the house, he saw that thieves had broken into the house by bending the rods of his bedroom window. Also, gold and silver jewellery and cash amounting to Rs 8 lakh 62 thousand were stolen from the cupboard. Hadapsar Police is conducting further investigation into the matter.
