Pune : Deccan Express – Anti Corruption | Tehsildar and peon were arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau by laying a trap for taking a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh. The ACB took this action on Monday at 1.45 pm in the Kalyan Tehsil office.
In this case, Tehsildar Deepak Marutirao Akade (Age 45, resident Harmony Building, Room No. 401, Kharghar, Sector – 6, Navi Mumbai) and Peon Manohar Dattatray Harad (Age 42, Building No. 504, Ambika Palace Society, Savarkarnagar, Titwala East) has been caught red handed. In this case, a 50-year-old man had complained to Thane’s ACB on August 26.
The construction company of the complainant has purchased land at Mouje Varap in Kalyan taluka. Tehsildar Deepak Akade had demanded a bribe of one lakh rupees from the complainant in order to decide in favor of hearing on the objection lodged regarding the land. The complainant lodged a complaint with Thane’s ACB on August 26. When the ACB investigated it on 26 August, it was found that the Tehsildar had demanded one lakh for himself and 20 thousand rupees for the peon. After this, on Monday, ACB laid a trap and caught both of them taking money.
This action was taken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, ACB Thane Zone, Dr. Panjabrao Ugle, Additional Superintendent of Police, Neelima Kulkarni by the team of Police Inspector Santosh Shewale, Police Naik Prashant Gholap, Women Police Naik Jayshree Pawar, Policemen Vinod Jadhav, Padmakar Pardhi, Driver police constable Mahale.
