2 persons injured, 7 vehicles damaged in accident on Navle bridge

Pune : Deccan Express  Two persons were injured in a strange accident on the Navle bridge on Monday. The driver of a truck carrying cement bags rammed into a four-wheeler standing at a signal. Other vehicles which were ahead of the car, also bore the brunt and were damaged. The incident happened at 2 pm on Monday.


The driver of the truck going from Katraj to Navle bridge lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a four-wheeler standing at the signal. Five four-wheelers and two wheelers were also damaged in the strange accident. A four-wheeler and a rickshaw suffered maximum damage. Fortunately, there was no loss of life but two-wheeler riders were injured and they have been admitted to nearby hospitals.


Sinhagad Road police station’s PSI Nitin Jadhav and other police officials rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to nearby hospitals. There was a traffic jam because the accident had taken place on the main road. The traffic police immediately took away the damaged vehicles and regularised the traffic. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals and they are undergoing treatment.
