The Rs 75 crore facility of Addverb Technologies can manufacture 50K robots a year
DELHI: Addverb Technologies, one of the largest automation and robotics companies in the country, has started a new plant in Noida called Boat Valley. The new factory of Adverb was inaugurated by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant.
With Boat-Valley, the company plans to create a self-sustaining ecosystem for the robotics industry in India that can export new products and technology solutions worldwide.
This factory will provide employment to about 450 people. The company has said in a statement that women and men will be given equal opportunities. There will be no discrimination against anyone.
Addverb was founded in 2016 and in just four years the company has expanded to Europe, South-East Asia and Australia, in addition to India. The company has established 100 per cent owned subsidiaries in Singapore, Australia and the Netherlands.
NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, who was the chief guest of the event, said, “The last decade has witnessed many major changes and many new technologies have emerged. We have entered an initial transformation (Industry 4.0), in which Addverb Technology will help meet growing needs and current business demand. Robotics has a wide potential to simplify processes across all industries, ranging from retail to healthcare and warehousing to supply chains.”

On this special occasion, the founder and CEO of Addverb, Sangeet Kumar said, “This new plant will showcase India’s strength at the global level and strengthen the entire robotics system of the country.”
Despite the increasing demand for automation, robotics penetration in India remains weak compared to the global average, especially in small and medium enterprises.
With the establishment of this world-class plant, we are able to introduce India as the world’s R&D centre and enable Indian manufacturers to share and encourage new skills towards adopting changing technologies and becoming the best manufacturer for local and global markets.
